Safari Parks in Zambia
South Luangwa National Park
Known for its high concentration of wildlife, South Luangwa is a prime location for walking safaris. The park is famous for its large population of leopards, lions, elephants, and hippos. The Luangwa River, which flows through the park, is a lifeline for many species and provides excellent game-viewing opportunities.
North Luangwa National Park
Less developed and more remote than South Luangwa, this park offers a true wilderness experience. It is particularly known for its walking safaris and opportunities to see large herds of buffalo, lions, and other wildlife in a pristine setting.
Liuwa Plain National Park
Famous for its annual wildebeest migration, Liuwa Plain offers a unique safari experience with fewer tourists. The park is also home to predators like lions, hyenas, and cheetahs, as well as a variety of bird species. The vast open plains provide a different landscape compared to other parks in Zambia.
Kasanka National Park

Kafue National Park

The Busanga Plains, within the park, are known for their stunning landscapes and large herds of herbivores.
Bangweulu Wetlands
These wetlands are a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to the rare shoebill stork and thousands of other bird species. The area also supports a population of black lechwe, hippos, and other wildlife adapted to the wetland environment.
Lower Zambezi National Park
